Consignment FAQs
Why should I consign with The Sub Center?
- Trusted brand for buyers and sellers.
- Items marketed to our social reach of 60,000 TCG enthusiastic followers.
- Items held at our secure location in bank safes.
- All items are fully insured.
- Items are professionally imaged in 4k to present them in their best light.
- We will also soon be fully integrated with our website that carries 250,000 individual monthly visits where all eyes will be on our items for sale.
- All consignments will be taken to The Kent Card Show and The London Card Show as well as selected other shows throughout the year.
What will you be consigning?
Graded cards from PSA, Beckett, TAG and CGC
Sealed products
What TCG are you taking?
Primarily Pokemon and One Piece, but others will be considered.
Is there a minimum value of the items I can send?
Currently there is a minimum market value of £100 for graded cards, no minimum for sealed items.
How are my items priced?
A fair market price will be agreed upon between yourself and The Sub Center before consignments are sent in. We help recommend the price based on market analysis and recent sales.
What if the market price changes while my item is with The Sub Center?
Items will be sold at the agreed price. If there is a significant change in the market price whilst with us, make us aware via email to discuss possible changes. One business day notice required.
How can I get my items to you?
Royal Special Delivery is recommended or Fed Ex for larger Parcels. Additional insurance can be purchased through third-party insurers, or you can drop items off at the store.
I paid for postage for the items returned to me, will this be refunded?
Not immediately. If all your items sell, get in touch and we will arrange a refund. We do not issue a refund at the point of consignment because we can use this process if you request your items to be sent back.
How are my items sold?
Consigned items will be advertised via our socials where possible, our retail store and our dedicated consignment website https://shop.thesubcenter.co.uk/ Consignments will also be taken to London Card shows and Kent card shows as well as some selected smaller shows.
What are the fees?
A flat fee of 10% + VAT of the sale value (12% total).
How long do you hold the item for?
A minimum 28-day exclusivity period starts the day the item is processed and advertised for sale. After 28 days you can request your item be sent back.
When and how do I receive my money if the item is sold?
14 days after the buyer has received their item. Payments are made via bank transfer on Tuesdays and Fridays.
